| I think the first one is my favorite, although I do like the second one a lot. I am super into that shifting planes thing right now, it kinda reminds me in a way of the 'psychedelic topography' I'm working on right now for the final portfolio for my 3D class. Great shots of the first one too, how long did that take you to make?? |

the first one took about seven weeks. most of that time was spent sanding and staining. i'm glad you guys like it.
the second one took about three weeks.
and scott - i'm in industrial design for a bfa. i thought i told you that before?
i'll have my final project finished in a few more days... |

oh, you likely did... much information doesnt stick until well around the 5th or 6th time i encounter it, which is why i live my life on a system of lists on little pieces of paper i carry in my wallet because if i don't write down an idea right away, its not there later when i want to bring it up from recall.
anyhow yea.. fucking cool piece. whats to become of it? |

wow that first one is really nice. hate to get all utilitarian but w/ a piece of glass on top (and maybe some levelling of the crescents) that would be an insanely cool table.
good work dude. |

yeah, i'm starting to like this plaster thing. it was a bitch to get started, but i'm really happy with the (almost) finished product. i still need to find some sort of resin or acrylic to seal it so it won't be fragile and prone to dents/scrapes.
if i can find a good adhesive to bond pink styrofoam insulation (2 part epoxy is a bitch), then i'm gonna dive head first into the laminate/plaster process and make a bunch of stuff! |

uhh. as in software? none. just pencil and paper. I did make models for each one beforehand though. the planar project was tested in foamcore at 1/3 the scale.
for the tooth thing i made various examples teeth with sculpey.
when i began i had a completely different idea of what i wanted, the finished piece kinda took its own shape. |
