just wondering what poets people are into, if any..

all time favorites of mine are wallace stevens and charles baudillard, especially baudillards prose poems. wallace stevens is a modernist poet like t.s. elliot and ezra pound (who i also like), only better in my opinion b.c it's less esoteric. additionally many of the L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E poets- lyn hejinian, michael palmer, and ron silliman.. dylan thomas is also quite good. there's many others, but that's a start. in terms of contemporary poets, swill from realicide is a pretty good poet. any others?

The Last Poets are fucking intense. and if you can find any straight up spoken word by Gil Scott Heron it's great.
I think they probably inspired slam poetry. and hip hop.

I like Rainer Maria Rilke too, the translations at least.
