SPLIT HORIZON JSTAT

format: 12"

Kicking off the Void Tactical Media subproject, Detroit's Split Horizon and JSTAT bring 2 tracks each of hard electro broken beats. Worked extensively in live performances over the past year, these tracks are presented here in finalized yet versatile forms with a focus on heavy playability and mixing. Combining elements of noise, techno, and electro Void Tactical Media rocks the soundsystem with a strong statement for the intertwining of ideas and music

REALICIDE - THE CHOICE IS YOURS

format: 12"

VOID011 - A collaborative experiment between Void Tactical Media and Realicide Youth Records, sonicly this is a bit of a departure from the sound Void Tactical has been working recently, but releasing on the more experimental Void imprint we stay true to the hard electronics that have inspired and driven our work for so long. This record breaks away from the saturated montage of mangled speedcore anxiety found found on other Realicide releases, favoring for longer, more straight-forward bastardized gabber punk anthems designed with the capable DJ in mind.

MUTAGEN

format: 12"

A view into the different aspects of broken beats in the detroit area, with each track representing a different micro community. cut at 45 rpm so that tracks can be played both fast and slow (most sound good at both speeds). also though not necessarily how i would do it next time, experimenting with cutting 3 tracks on a side and maximizing high frequency fidelity gives the record some interesting sonic qualities.

DISKORE - UP THERE / VIRULENCE

format: 12"

Experimental dance music from darkmatter soundsystem's diskore. This record features a weird cut that requires some explanation. Diskore's tracks featured so much extreme high end that they could not possibly translate to vinyl. To keep as much of his raw sound as possible his tracks are cut within the outside 2 inches of a 12" at 45rpm. On the a side you can even hear the high end frying out.. silk screened jackets

SPLIT HORIZON

format: 12"

hard broken acid core from the warehouses of detroit. screen printed record jackets. cut at 45 rpm for full versatility when playing - sounds good from 33rpm-8 all the way up to 45rpm+8. recorded live straight to disk with very minimal post production.
